Three Things to Love About Living in the Observatory Park Neighborhood

We’ve been keeping an eye on the Observatory Park neighborhood and we thought we’d let you know just a few of the things we love about it.

Historical Significance

Right in the middle of one of Denver’s most significant neighborhoods resides the Chamberlain Observatory, for which this neighborhood was named. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this observatory proudly displays an 1894 Alvan Clark-Saegmuller 20-inch refracting telescope. Owned and operated by the University of Denver, residents enjoy the twice-weekly observing nights and monthly open house star-gazing nights sponsored by the Denver Astronomical Society. If you want to explore the universe, this is the place to be.

Lifestyle

Observatory Park is also home to the University of Denver, a private institution which holds students to exacting scholastic standards, encourages experimental learning and promotes an active lifestyle. The lovely campus is delightful to behold, and the diversity of a college town vibe provides Observatory Park residents with many opportunities to attend lectures and take in concerts and theater productions.

Membership at the Ritchie Center affords residents access to an Olympic-size swimming pool, two ice rinks and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The Newman Center for the Performing Arts anchors the southeast corner of the DU campus, providing numerous acoustically superior concert halls, recording studios and a flexible theater.

Two small parks greet residents with recreational offerings such as tennis courts, basketball courts, shaded tables and playgrounds just outside your door.

Scoot around town without a care thanks to outstanding access to the I-25 corridor and the light rail system, or enjoy the convenience of three nearby bus routes, with car and bike sharing services available.

Quiet, Picturesque Small-Town-Within-the-City Charm

This beautiful neighborhood is pedestrian-friendly, making it easy to meet up with friends at the Kaladi Coffee Roasters for a bracing espresso. Leave your cares at home, grab your bike and pedal around to iconic Washington Park lake for a leisurely afternoon adventure. Love to shop? Eclectic boutiques provide hours of fun, followed by a stop at one of the small grocers for those hard-to-find organic foods.

We think you’ll find even more ways to love luxury living in Observatory Park. To talk more about this, or anything else, please contact us. Thanks.
