Fort Collins may be best known as the home of Colorado State University and the University is a cornerstone of the community. There’s more to Fort Collins than CSU, though.  This is a city of about 170,000 residents and home to over 20 breweries, historic homes and more small shops and restaurants than we can count. If you love the outdoors, Fort Collins is also a great place to call home. There are many lakes, rivers and reservoirs nearby, including Horsetooth Reservoir and Cache La Poudre River where locals like to kayak, paddle board and go boating. Go hiking in Lory State Park or head east and take in the Pawnee National Grasslands. The city maintains a variety of rec centers, parks and other facilities, like a pottery studio in City Park and a skate rink open in Old Town Square during the winter months.
