Four Ways Luxury Living in the Capitol Hill Neighborhood Makes Your Day

Can luxury living in the Capitol Hill neighborhood make you happy? We don’t see why not! In fact, here are four ways this neighborhood ups your happiness quotient.

History

The gold-domed state capitol building, dedicated in 1890, drew many of Denver’s wealthiest citizens to the Capitol Hill area where they established “Millionaire’s Row.” Among the residents of this exclusive enclave was Titanic survivor, Margaret “Molly” Brown and her miner-turned-millionaire husband, Johnny. Today, the Molly Brown House still stands on Pennsylvania Street as a museum dedicated to one of Denver’s most famous and philanthropic-minded residents.

Neighborhood Ambiance

From lofts in repurposed buildings to Art Deco-style apartment buildings to nicely restored mansions alongside new builds, Capitol Hill represents a uniquely blended and diverse personality, proud of its place in, but quite different from, the urban downtown core of Denver just minutes away. The tree-lined streets rate high in walkability and, in fact, pedestrian movement outnumbers car traffic.

Location

What can we say? Cap Hill residents walk, bike or bus commute to work or school in downtown Denver. Light rail, easy access to I-70, Colfax, Speer Boulevard and 6th Avenue, all major thoroughfares, make getting around the metro area seamless.

A Foodie’s Paradise

You never have to leave the neighborhood to enjoy great food in small restaurants or bars such as the local favorite Pub on Penn. Meet up with neighbors a Stoney’s Bar and Grill for live music, or cheer on the Broncos, Rockies, Avalanche or Nuggets over a brew with friends at award-winning Govnr’s Park Tavern. Following your daily run, catch up with one of the food trucks that dot the area for a cold bottle of water and a snack.

In 2015, this historic area landed on the top 10 list of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the country. We’d love to show you this charming, eclectic and diverse neighborhood. Please contact us for more information.
