Relocating to Colorado: Great Places to Take Your Guests

When relocating to Colorado, it is exciting to see all of the attractions as a newcomer and entertain guests. If you want to buy a home in Colorado, you will likely have friends or family come to visit. For those planning to relocate to Denver in the future, meet up with me for a tour of different homes for sale in hip downtown Denver neighborhoods such as LoDo (Lower Downtown), Highlands or Capitol Hill. According to a report by Redfin Research Center currently some of the hottest neighborhoods in the Denver area include Green Valley Ranch, Anthem, Washington Park, Rooney Valley and Northpark. On your own, it’s fun to explore the city. From restaurants, bars and coffee shops to museums, hiking trails and parks, there are activities to fit every mood you have.

For something dramatic

If you are in the mood to do something dramatic, visit the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre with challenging trails and interesting rock formation. Another idea is to take a trip to the Boulder falls with steep rocks and granite boulders. Or take a trip downtown and visit the newly restored Union Station to grab a burger, see the trains and shop. You could even take the Light Rail into town!

For something inspiring

If you are in the mood to feel inspired, head out to Devil’s Head Fire Lookout, a lookout station built in 1912 with breathtaking views. St. Mary’s Glacier is about an hour west of Denver. During the winter months, the glacial trail provides an alpine adventure and introduces your guests to the pleasures of the Colorado Rockies.

For something fun

When entertaining out-of-town visitors with children, consider going to The Children’s Museum of Denver, an interactive museum with hands-on fun. Other ideas include the Denver Museum of Nature and Science or the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave that includes a peace pipe that belonged to Sitting Bull.

For something athletic

Although you can find something athletic to do almost anywhere in Denver, some highlights include the Cherry Creek Trail, a paved path that passes by the old stagecoach stop and local shopping. Hiking trails include Alderfer Three Sisters Park, South Valley Park and the Roxborough State Park South Rim Trail.
